Maqam Echahid is a must-see building in Algiers. This beautiful architectural design piece is more a monument than a building, because it is really impressive. It was opened in 1982 to pay tribute to the lives lost in the Algerian War.

Notre Dame d'Afrique was inaugurated in 1872. Featuring an unusual floor plan, with the choir on the southeast rather than the east side of the building. Despite having undergone several reconstructions throughout the years, its essential essence remains, along with its famous colonial inscription: ‘Notre Dame d’Afrique priez pour nous et pour les Musulmans.’ (‘Our Lady of Africa, pray for us and for the Muslims.’)

In 2016, Algiers Airport (ALG) handled 7,500,000 passengers. The airport was created and launched in the World War II called Maison Blanche Airport because the region where the airport is located (Dar El Beïda) is also known like this. The name was changed into Houari Boumediene Airport.
